​Pierre LE FAGUAYS was born on August 29, 1892 in Rezé (Loire Atlantique)
​
His father, Camille LE FAGUAYS, was the owner of a fabric trading company and his mother, Laure NAU, was the successor of an important bourgeois Nantes family, dealing with the navy.
​
Talented for drawing, she passed down her skills to her son, who passed his baccalaureate diploma in 1908 before devoting all of his life to sculpture.
